Americans with dyslexia

According to the Dyslexia Research Institute, “Ten to fifteen percent of the US population has dyslexia, yet only five out of every one hundred dyslexics are recognized and receive assistance.”

That’s 30-45 million people with dyslexia in the U.S.!

Research in Japan has shown that reading aloud is one of the best ways to help dyslexic readers. Tertia’s speed control for ebooks enables dyslexic students to have assistance reading aloud, at their speed, with the audio highlighting the text as they read. Think of it as “karaoke reading”.

We are now in the process of integrating additional technology to assist those with dyslexia, based on some research in Europe. Please stay tuned to this page for more information coming up.
